Riverrun Under Siege

Ser Forley Prester began his daily sojourn to Daven Lannister's camp. The two men would discuss the affairs of the day, coordinate the nighttime watch, and plan the next steps of the siege. As Forley's rowboat pushed across the river, his eyes fixed upon the disarray of Ryman Frey's camp north of the Tumblestone. Ryman's lack of discipline was more dangerous than any Tully bowmen atop the walls of Riverrun.
"Ser Forley," Daven greeted the Knight of Feastfires. "What wisdoms do you bring me today from Lord Emmon?"
"This morning he brought up the possibility of sailing to Essos and hiring a Faceless Man to assassinate the Blackfish. Genna told Emmon she wished he was faceless, and that ended the discussion."
Daven laughed. "Tell him he can't afford a Faceless Man, so a one-handed man must make do. Word is my cousin Jaime rides for Riverrun with near one thousand men. Seems as though Ryman's little party is over."
"Not a moment too soon," Forley replied. "His camp would drink the Arbor dry."
"Aye. Not often you fight a war and find yourself cheering for the opposing side, but if Ryman and Ser Brynden were to duel tomorrow, you might find me waving the Blackfish's flag."
"I'd call you a traitor, but a wise one," Ser Forley said. The two men began to plan the night patrols, hopeful that Ser Jaime's coming would mark the beginning of the end of this interminable siege.

The Story
"Ryman commands a large and disorderly Frey encampment north of the Tumblestone. South of the Red Fork are Lord Emmon, Ser Forley Prester with other westermen, and rivermen who knelt to the Iron Throne after the Red Wedding. Daven commands House Lannister's camp between the Tumblestone and the Red Fork."
The Scenario
This scenario utilizes the House Frey expansion. As I mentioned in the update of my Plans for 2026 post, I've reached the point where I'm quite close to achieving my goal of creating a custom scenario for all the major (and a lot of the minor) events from the books, and I've decided to just plow ahead instead of waiting for future releases from CMON. This means the scenarios themselves will include a lot of custom content. This scenario, along with the soon to be released Siege of Raventree, are good examples of what you can expect to see more of in the future, though both filled with a lot more custom stuff than will be the norm. This section in A Feast for Crows is one of my favorite parts of the series and I wanted to do it justice by cramming in as much stuff as possible. You can contrast this scenario with the TV show version, which is another reason I wanted to make this scenario a bit more epic to differentiate it from that one.
This is a fan-made scenario inspired by CMON Limited’s A Song of Ice & Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game and is in no way associated with CMON.
