The Death of Ramsay Bolton

It was quiet, save for the hollow echo of hounds barking from inside their kennel. Ramsay Bolton lay motionless, covered in mud and blood. Jon Snow composed himself and looked over at Sansa. Beside her stood a grinning Petry Baelish.

“Lord Snow,” Baelish proclaimed, “we arrived not a moment too soon.”

Jon took a deep breath. “Aye,” he declared forlornly. “We kept them on the field long enough for the Knights to descend unawares and win the day.” Jon surveyed the corpses that lay strewn about him; Stark, Bolton, Mormont, Umber, Karstark, free folk. “… but at what cost?”

“For the north, my lord,” Petyr reminded him. “That’s why they fought. That’s what you delivered them.”

“And delivered more than enough to their death…” Should I have told them? Jon wondered. Would they believe me? Do I believe it myself?

“There is a time for contemplation, my lord,” Baelish assured Jon. “But first, justice.”

The Story

"Despite his general's concerns, Ramsay expresses confidence they can withstand the Starks since they hold Winterfell. His plan goes awry, however, when Wun Wun breaks down the main gate, allowing the Starks and Arryns to pour through."

This scenario completes the Battle of the Bastards trilogy, breaking the 3 main beats into 3 separate scenarios: the pitched battle, the oncoming of the Knights of the Vale, and finally the skirmish inside the walls of Winterfell. This scenario also includes the custom unit of the Bastard’s Boys. Though these characters were not featured in the show, they are mainstays with Ramsay and it’s a fun custom unit to get more use out of Bolton Heroes 1.

This is a fan-made scenario inspired by CMON Limited’s A Song of Ice & Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game and is in no way associated with CMON.
