Sometimes to help pay down a debt, you must let go of a bleeding asset. Casterly Rock was not going to help win the war in King’s Landing. As Robb Stark did at the Green Fork, the Kingslayer would sacrifice the Rock to win a more pivotal battle.
The Story
"Transported by a large portion of the Targaryen fleet, the Unsullied army of House Targaryen lands at Casterly Rock, where they attempt to climb over the battlements with ladders. The Lannister garrison has anticipated the attack, and fiercely defends the walls firing arrows and throwing large stones. The Unsullied initially sustain modest casualties and cannot seem to breach the walls."
Gameplay & Strategy
The Lannister Activation advantage may seem daunting, but sieging a great castle should be difficult. You will need to rely on superior game planning and maneuvering. The Lannister player will likely have to spread out to defend the Castle Walls and control some Objective tokens. The Attacker will have a much easier time gaining Siege Strategy cards, building their strength as the prepare to strike.
