Battle of the Camps

Brynden Tully could not celebrate the victory at Whispering Wood, not while the Lannisters still lay siege to his home. A veteran of many wars, the Blackfish knew that one victory was just that, and could just as easily be followed by a dozen defeats. Everything depended on what happened next. They had to retake Riverrun as soon as possible, and he would lead the way.

The Story

"Ser Brynden Tully, leading Robb's van, attacks the Lannister camp north of the Tumblestone at night. His force clears palisades and finishes off any remaining scouts, and the sleeping, leaderless camp is overrun. Men from the other camps, roused by the noise, soon attempt to come to the aid of the camp under attack."

Gameplay & Strategy

Much like the Battle in the Whispering Wood, the Starks have a superior positioning advantage at the start of the game. Not only that, but while Riverrun stands, they also get to replenish one previously destroyed unit at the start of every round. If the Lannister player wants to attack the Castle Wall, their best bet is to deploy the Knights of Casterly Rock in the corner and have them race to the Castle. This is a high risk move that could majorly backfire, so more defensively minded player may just want to grab a second Objective token and hunker down in a corner.
