Battle for Storm's End

Stannis closed his heavy eyes. His dreams were unhinged, a hopeless chase across a darkening void. Finally, the darkest shadow opened its mouth and consumed him.

Stannis sat up. His chest was tight. Renly. His mind raced. His next clear thought was of the Seven Kingdoms, of the anarchy that harried the land because of the false kings, including his younger brother. Brother after brother would die until he ascended the throne. He must do his duty. Only then will there be peace.

The Story

"Stannis arrives in the stormlands with five thousand men and lays siege to the coastal fortress Storm's End, Renly's seat. Renly is at Bitterbridge with his army when the news reaches his camp. He splits his forces and rides with some twenty thousand cavalry to Storm's End to break the siege. He confronts Stannis during a parley, with Lady Catelyn Stark in attendance, during which he offers Stannis a peach, but the two brothers are unable to set aside their differences. Neither will yield; Instead, they agree that a battle is set to start at dawn the next day."

Gameplay & Strategy

Originally I had this event and the Siege of Storm's End as one mega-scenario with two different army lists, but I think it works better this way since Renly and Stannis agreed to a pitched battle and it would be fun to see what might have happened if they did (although the shadow assassin is always ready to strike). This scenario highlights Renly's Rainbow Guard, so hopefully they get a bit of a boost in future updates.

This is a fan-made scenario inspired by CMON Limited’s A Song of Ice & Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game and is in no way associated with CMON.
