Raiding Across the Red Fork

Ser Marq Piper slinked toward the wagon, avoiding the eyes of two Lannister guardsmen. Marq drew a knife and pounced, relentlessly stabbing the first guard. He left the knife in the dead man’s belly as he swiftly drew his sword and cut the second guard down. The sound of their dying drew the attention of several Lannister men. “Halt!” they shouted helplessly.
Marq raced to the river as the guardsmen followed. Suddenly, arrows rained down from the opposite bank. The Lannister soldiers ducked behind their wagons for cover. Three birds darted away from a nearby bush. All around them, the leaves rustled. Ser Karyl Vance shouted as he led a charge from the treeline. The rivermen’s cries thundered across the makeshift camp. “Pinkmaiden!” “Lord Vance!” “Raventree!” “Riverrun! Riverrun! Riverrun!”
The Story

The Scenario
It's likely clear from the 115+ scenarios on this website that I'm a little obsessed with A Song of Ice & Fire lore, and little things like the tag team of Marq Piper and Karyl Vance have alway piqued my interest. Their relationship is truthfully super minor and undefined, but snippets from the text and the history of the riverlands give us enough that we can imagine they were good bros battling together against the evil Lannisters; Marq the hothead and Karyl the more stern and seasoned.
With this scenario, we've reached the end of the riverlands action from A Game of Thrones. In the coming months, I will have new scenarios from the time period of A Clash of Kings focusing on the liberation of the riverlands castles and the continued destruction of the countryside by the likes Gregor Clegane, Amory Lorch, and Vargo Hoat.
