Massacre at King's Landing

Dong. Dong. Dong. The bells ringing across the city signified the surrender of the Lannister forces and likely ruin of a dynasty that traced its lineage all the way back to Lann the Clever and the Age of Heroes. Cersei watched as the enormous black-scaled dragon beat its wings and made for the Red Keep. Would she be beheaded, burned, eaten, tortured?

Without notice, fire erupted from the mouth of the beast and the street below exploded in flames. The people's frenzied screams could be heard even up in the tall towers high upon Aegon's Hill. Madness. There was no hiding. Everything would burn.

The Story

"In a culmination of grief and rage, Daenerys stares at the Red Keep, the former symbol of her family's power that is now held by her hated enemy, eventually succumbing to the infamous Targaryen madness. She rejects the city's surrender in a terrifying turn of events and unleashes Drogon on a destructive rampage across the city, destroying countless buildings, incinerating thousands of smallfolk, and surrendered Lannister soldiers with dragonfire."

Gameplay & Strategy

To recreate the arbitrary destruction of Daenerys Targaryen against the citizenry of King's Landing, this scenario lets both players take control Drogon to burn their enemies. In order to make Drogon an effective weapon, the player controlling Drogon gets 3 activations for the dragon each round. While this is a big advantage for that player, the fact that it alternates makes it tolerable. Likely, the player will begin by retreating from their own unit, then marching across the battlefield, and finally charging into an enemy unit.

This scenario also has 2 fun mini-games to capture the insanity of this episode (and Season 8 in general). The first sees the Clegane Brothers throw down in a useless clash between 2 units that has nothing to do with the rest of the battle and really proves nothing. The second mini-game has Jaime Lannister and Euron off-board battling, with the winner becoming a free NCU for that round.

This is a fan-made scenario inspired by CMON Limited’s A Song of Ice & Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game and is in no way associated with CMON.
