Fall of Moat Cailin

Victarion trudged through the swamp water. They were less than 2 miles from Moat Cailin now. He finally spotted the decrepit towers in the distance. The iroborn raiders stayed neck-deep in the bog waters as the sunlight dwindled. When the last of the sun's rays disappeared behind the horizon, the ironborn emerged from the slough. They were drenched in slime and mud, looking like cruddy deep sea beasts. Victarion turned to his men. "What is dead may never die, but rises again, stronger and harder."

The Story

"Balon sends Theon, his brother Aeron Damphair, and Dagmer Cleftjaw to harry the Stony Shore in hopes that the remaining northern lords will march from their castles. Balon sends his daughter Asha to seize Deepwood Motte and his brother Victarion with the majority of the Iron Fleet to capture Moat Cailin and prevent the northern lords in the south from returning to their seats."

Gameplay & Strategy

Moat Cailin was one of the locations I was most excited to depict and I'm happy with how it turned out. Honed & Ready is my favorite game mode and it seemed like a natural fit. Controlling the most Objective tokens is extra important in this scenario. Not only do you score Victory Points, but the player who Controls the most Objectives will get to rain arrows down on any enemy units that are with 6" of the towers. Move through the Bogs and get to the Objectives early and this battle may be over quick.

This is a fan-made scenario inspired by CMON Limited’s A Song of Ice & Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game and is in no way associated with CMON.
