The large iron doors moaned as they opened. There was stillness in the darkness below. The dragons had yet to show interest in the entrance, even after burning their chains away, seemingly content to stowaway in unseen crevices and caverns. Skahaz mo Kandaq and three Brazen Beasts directed oxen down the stairs. Foolish beasts, the Shavepate thought. So easily led into the dark. He went to close the doors, but left it open a crack to peek inside. The air stirred in the chamber. A clicking noise echoed along the ceiling. Like a flash of lightning, flames struck an ox from above. The other oxen bellowed and stampeded aimlessly into the shadows, not knowing anything other than they needed to get away. It is a game to these dragons. A game they can never lose.

The Story

"Quentyn's companions are keen to return to Dorne, but the prince plans to tame at least one of Daenerys's dragons due to his Targaryen ancestry. He arranges a meeting with the Tattered Prince, hiring the Windblown's help in seizing Rhaegal and Viserion. The Tattered Prince agrees, asking for Pentos in return. Quentyn signs an agreement. Dressed as Brazen Beasts, Quentyn and his companions go to the pit where the dragons are kept."

The Scenario

This scenario utilizes the Ghiscari Faction. As I said in my Plans for 2025 post, I wanted to explore the Wild Beasts mechanic more, and Quentyn letting lose Viserion and Rhaegal was the perfect opportunity to have these impartial, interactive, destructive forces on the battlefield. It's up to the players on how much interaction they will have with the dragons, which will affect the game even if they don't directly attack any units.

This is a fan-made scenario inspired by CMON Limited’s A Song of Ice & Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game and is in no way associated with CMON.
