Jojen's room filled with sea water. He opened the door and more rushed in, sending him crashing into the wall. It rose higher and higher. He waded through the water and looked out his tower window. All of Winterfell was flooded. Black waves crashed against the walls and towers. Beyond the castle wall, the immense tentacle of a sea monster rose high into the air. It crashed down with a large thud, but missed striking the castle. The flood pushed Jojen out the window and into the black swell below.
He opened his eyes. Meera stood over him, a wistful smile across her face. "Was it the water again?" she asked. Jojen nodded, then turned over and tried to go back to sleep. He needed to see more.
The Story
"The ironborn attack in the night eight days after Rodrik leaves. Theon sends four ironborn to go over Winterfell's double walls with grappling hooks and swim its moat. From there they sneak up on Alebelly, whom they slay in a postern gate's turret, and they open the gate to let in the rest of the ironborn."
Gameplay & Strategy
This is another scenario that utilizes the Proxy Commander mechanic. For certain scenarios, I look at the state of the game and make educated guesses on what might be released in the future. For example, in this scenario we already have the main Stark characters released (Bran, Rickon, Osha, Jojen, Meera), and none of them are commanders. I don't think it's likely that any of them will ever be made a commander, and there is no other Stark character that was present during this event that would really fit (that's why it was so easy for the Greyjoys to take the castle). Instead of skipping this important event, I just use the character's model (in this case Bran) with the cards and abilities of the character closest the them (in this case Bran's father, Eddard). In contrast, I'm still waiting to create scenarios for events like the Battle of the Fords because I hope a commander version of Edmure Tully will be released in the next year or two.
The folks over at Le Bar à Théo have filmed an amazing battle report of this scenario. Its definitely worth a watch.
