Battle of Winterfell

The fires raged around Winterfell; in the fields, on the battlements, across the courtyard. The defenders could hardly breathe from the smoke, and none could see much further than their own hands. Wights sprung upon this blind prey, knocking them to the ground; clawing, biting, ripping at their flesh.
The Night King watched everything burn from atop Viserion (though he did not know the dragon’s name). The Night King was older than even Winterfell. His only thought about the ancient stronghold was that this batch of stone was shielding the three-eyed raven and a host of living men. Once the castle fell, once his army grew larger, he would move along to another castle, then another, then another. All the same, all ultimately destroyed. He would not stop until the whole world was shrouded in winter, and only the Others would remain to breathe the chilled air.

The Story
"By the time Tormund, Beric Dondarrion, and acting Lord Commander Eddison Tollett arrived at Last Hearth with the other survivors of the fall of the Wall, the castle had been abandoned, indicating that the White Walkers and the army of the dead were getting close to Winterfell. Tormund, Beric, and Edd, alongside the some of the surviving Free Folk, members of the Brotherhood Without Banners, and members of the Night's Watch, reached Winterfell before the army of the dead did. They warned Jon that the White Walkers would be there within the night."
The Scenario
This scenario utilizes the Others Faction. CMON introduced the Epic Game mode just in time for another Board Man Gaming supersized scenario. I've mentioned a few times in the past (like this Watchers on the Wall battle report) that with these mega sized battle the tactics board and tactics card become an afterthought as you often run out of cards and zones early in the round and still have a dozen activations left. The new tactics board and reshuffling deck rule will go a long way to helping make epic battles remain tactical.

This is a fan-made scenario inspired by CMON Limited’s A Song of Ice & Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game and is in no way associated with CMON.
