Battle of the Goldroad

The roar rumbled from beyond the skyline. The worst fear of every Lannister soldier had been realized. All the bedtime stories they ever heard about the burning of Harrenhal and the Field of Fire had suddenly come to life. Dragons had returned to Westeros.

The Story

"Jaime and Bronn are then surprised to hear what sounds like distant thunder, until they realize it must be approaching cavalry. Jaime, Bronn and Randyll order the soldiers to form up, which they manage to do before the enemy crests over the horizon - a massive, 100,000 strong horde of Dothraki cavalry, brandishing arakhs and bellowing their ululating war cries."

Gameplay & Strategy

This scenario uses the On an Open Field beta game mode rules, and not just because the name goes perfectly with the Dothraki. I like the concept of the Lannister troops trying to escape with the loot they got from Highgarden, and them passing it off to one another as they avoid the Dothraki and dragon attacks. As always, Drogon and his auto-Wounds will be a big problem. Luckily for the Lannister player, you get use of the Night's Watch Scorpion, which is quite powerful against Monster units.

This is a fan-made scenario inspired by CMON Limited’s A Song of Ice & Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game and is in no way associated with CMON.
