Assault on the Targaryen Fleet

The flames parted as the Iron King stalked across the deck of the Black Wind. The world seemed to bend to his cruelty, like someone else Reek knew. No, no... my name is Theon, he reminded himself. Don't forget your name. Euron's silenced men swarmed onto the burning ship like locusts. Axes slammed into bodies. Thud, thud, thud. The Narrow Sea had turned into a butcher shop.

BOOM! Another fireball hit, exploding the quarterdeck. Theon looked around frantically for his sister, his anchor. He saw her, through smoke and flame, battling for her life against his uncle's hooded, hideous mutes.

Obara Sand's spear jabbed at the Crow's Eye, who laughed as he danced with the Dornish blade. Euron's scale armor gleamed in the firelight, red and smoky, seemingly aflame from within. He slashed Obara's spear in twain and jammed the blade into her chest. His smiling eye found Theon. He lifted the Sand Snake's corpse into the sky, spraying her blood across his face. Reek, Reek, it rhymes with weak.

The Story

"During the voyage, the Black Wind is suddenly rammed. Yara and Theon run up onto the deck to see the Silence, the flagship of their uncle, attacking them, along with the rest of the Iron Fleet attacking theirs. Euron locks the Silence onto Black Wind with his corvus and boards, along with the rest of his soldiers and they begin to fight Yara and Theon's loyal ironborn warriors."

Gameplay & Strategy

This battle takes place across two ships and I decided to recreate it as faithfully as possible in the setup diagram. As with all my scenarios, I expect people to take what they enjoy from my document and play a game that will be fun for them. I don't expect people to recreate the two ships. Instead, maybe use something for the sea terrain and make the 3 boarding planks to cross the sea, which are the important elements for gameplay purposes. The ships themselves are not terrain, they're the battlefield the units maneuver across.

This is a fan-made scenario inspired by CMON Limited’s A Song of Ice & Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game and is in no way associated with CMON.
